Mary Annette Entzminger, 65, of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, on September 5, 1957, she was the daughter of the late William H. Sandel Jr. and Maida McCoy Sandel. Annette was a long-time, dedicated member of Southside Baptist Church and most recently joined First Baptist Church in Columbia.

Annette was the loving wife to David Robert Entzminger Sr., for 43 years. She graduated from AC Flora High School and pursued a career working for the Hampton Inn Suites. Annette was an avid Gamecocks, Braves, and Nascar fan. She adored Jeff Gordan, Billy Graham, and Franklin Graham. Annette enjoyed listening to classic country music during happy hour and taking care of her beloved pet cats. She was an outgoing, loving soul, and never met a stranger.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, David Robert Entzminger, Jr.(Erin); brother, William "Bill" Sandel Jr. (Judy); nephew, Christopher Sandel (Monica); cousins, Margaret McElveen, Lucy Louis, Clayton Trapp, Coleman Trapp, June Marsh, Dean Baker, and Ruby Baker. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by in laws, Daniel and Susie Entzminger; and aunt, Ada McCoy McElveen.

The funeral service for Annette will be held at 2 o'clock on Thursday, November 17th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30 o'clock. Burial to follow at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC.
