Mary K. Hayden, 63, of Columbia, died on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Born in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, on November 26, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Delores Firkus Vertz. Mary loved her family, especially her grandkids. She enjoyed Garth Brooks' music, Waffle House coffee and anything Panda Bear related.

Survivors include her husband, Lewis L. Hayden; daughter, Melissa A. Martin (John); sons, Ronald J. Block (Adrian) and Jason G. Block (Meredith); daughters, Ilene S. Russell and Kathleen S. Hayden; brothers, Al Hoover (Mary Beth) and Mike Hoover (Betty); sister, Debi Foti (David); 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

The funeral service for Mrs. Hayden will be held at 4 o'clock, Monday, August 9th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
