Mary Ann Herrington, 81, of Lugoff, died Friday, December 21, 2018. Born in Tabor City, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Mary Magdalene Hooks and the wife of Jimmy Cobb for more than 56 years. She loved her family, yard sales and the Gamecocks. Mary Ann retired after 40 years, as a secretary for Shakespeare.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her stepdaughter, Debbie Sturgess; stepson, Yale Cobb; her best friend and cousin, Gayle Phipps; other cousins, Dot Phipps, Rob Williams, and Meach Williams; and many extended family members.

The service will be held at 12 o'clock, Wednesday, December 26th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Interment will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 11 o'clock.
