Mary Katherine Idell, 59, of Columbia, died Friday, June 29, 2018. Born on May 11, 1959, in Greenwood, SC, she was the daughter of Roy Ervin Gaddis and the late Mary Frances Thomas Gaddis. She was an amazing mother and a once in a life time friend. She brought the brightest rays of sunshine everywhere she went. She was loved by many and will be missed very much.

Surviving in addition to her father of Blythewood, SC, is her daughter, Shelby Rene Idell; granddaughters, Caroline and Kynsley Lynch; and her brother, Ricky Gaddis.

The service for Kathy will be held at 2 o'clock, Saturday, July 14th, at Petersen Presbyterian Church, 8131 Brookfield Rd, Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
