Mary Kathleen Rosinski, 70, of Columbia, passed away on Friday, June 24. 2022. Born on October 24, 1951, in Riverside, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Harry and Marjorie Diegnau Westendorf.
Mary was the loving wife to Leonard Daniel Rosinski, Jr. for 44 years. She was a graduate of Lockport High School and pursued a career as a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, sewing, and cooking. She was well known for her famous German chocolate cake! Her pride and joy in life were her two grandchildren. She lived for being a grandmother and adored every second spent with them. Mary was a loving, easy-going soul. She cared deeply for others and was very supportive to her friends and family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Kathryn L. Grogan (Brian) and Lauren M. Rosinski; grandchildren, James T. Grogan and Ashley K. Grogan; siblings, Marjorie, Michael, Marlene, Michelle, and Mark. She is preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral mass for Mrs. Rosinski will be held at 11 o'clock on Friday, July 1st, at The Basilica of Saint Peter, 1529 Assembly Street in Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
