Mary Hobbs Shaw passed away Saturday, February 24, 2013. Born February 1, 1937 in Gastonia, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Evalina and George C. Hobbs Sr.

Mary grew up in Augusta, Georgia and was a graduate of Richmond Academy, and was a retired employee of the University of South Carolina. She was an avid gardener.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Shaw; a brother, George C. Hobbs Jr.; and a sister, Ellen Parkman.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kimberly Shaw-Calvo; grand-children, Jack and Violet Calvo; a son, Robert Shaw; and several nieces, nephews, cousin and many friends.

A graveside service for Mrs. Shaw will be held 10:30 o'clock, Wednesday, February 27th, at Magnolia Cemetery, 702 3rd Street, Augusta, Georgia.
