Mary Sue Smith, 87, of Columbia, died peacefully September 2, 2015. Born in Lake Wales, FL on November 7, 1927 she was a daughter of the late William Walker Smith, Jr. and Susan Arlene Brawley Smith. She was a member of Eau Claire Baptist Church.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews; numerous cousins, to include Richard Brawley of Chapin, and R. Scott Brawley of Charleston.

A service will be held 11 o'clock, Friday, September 18th at Eau Claire Baptist Church with The Rev. James A. Goudelock officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Eau Claire Baptist Church, Columbia, SC 29203. Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is assisting the family.
