Master Monte Jay "MJ" Harper passed away on December 9, 2019. Monte was born in West Columbia, SC, on August 14, 2019.

Survivors include his parents, Marellis Armour and Taylor Harper; sister, Briana Harper; brother, Chance Armour; maternal grandparents, Lisa Harper and Marcus Harper; paternal grandparents, Beverly Armour and Thomas Haltiwanger; maternal great-grandparents, Beiman O. "Bemo" and JoAnn Prince, Jr; aunts and uncles, Josh, Jeremy, and Fox Harper, and Michael, Keosha, Keith, Da'Shaun and Raquan Armour.

MJ is preceded in death by his aunt, Angie Prince; and uncle Trey Prince; paternal great-grandparents, Major Armour and Betty Lee Geiger.

The funeral service for MJ will be held 3 o'clock, Sunday, December 15th, in the Chapel of Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Rd, Lexington, SC, with Chaplain Billie Bright officiating. Burial will follow the service in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
