Matthew Iarossi "Matt" Davis, 22, of Columbia, formerly of Atlanta, died Thursday, October 22, 2015. Born in Atlanta on October 25, 1992, he was the son of Juliana Iarossi and W. Bryan Davis. Working dogs were his passion. Matt found his home training dogs for military, personal security and law enforcement. He was fearless working with retired military K-9s. But it was his mentors, who were retired veterans, that inspired Matt to become a warrior himself and he had recently begun the military recruiting process.
Matt loved the outdoors and working out. He loved going fast on a skateboard, snowboard or in his car. His smile would draw you in and his infectious sense of humor, impersonations and storytelling would keep you engaged.
In addition to his mother and father, Matt is survived by his step-father, Erick Holt; sister, Danielle Iarossi-Tuttle; maternal grandparents, Frank and Millie Iarossi; a step-brother, Chris; and step-sisters, Liz and Caroline.
A graveside service will be held at 3 o'clock, Saturday, October 31st, at St. Peter's Catholic Church Columbarium, 1529 Assembly Street, Columbia, with a reception to follow at the family home, 812 Gregg Street, Columbia.
