Mattie "Libby" Sharpe Murray, 68, of West Columbia, died peacefully at home, Friday, December 14, 2018. Born July 5, 1950 in Richland County, she was a daughter of the late Fletcher S. and Frances Smith Sharpe. She was retired from the insurance industry and always enjoyed life.

Survivors include her son Lewis Eugene Crosby (Heather); brother, Arthur Eugene "Butch" Sharpe; grandchildren, Robert Scott Crosby and Kellie Thayer Crosby; aunts, Ruby Peaks and Juanita Carroll; cousin, Sandra Wiles (Richard); niece, Frances Elizabeth 'Beth" Sharpe; as well as her best friend Renee. In addition to her parents, Ms. Murray was preceded in death by her brother John Lewis "Jackie" Sharpe.

A graveside service for Ms. Murray will be held 2 o'clock, Wednesday, December 19th at Sharpe Family Cemetery, 581 Sharpe Road, Columbia, SC 29203.

The family would like to extend a gracious thank you to Agape Hospice and their staff for the dedicated care of Ms. Murray during her illness.
