Maya Sergeevna Spicer, 48, of Columbia, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Born in Moscow, Russia on May 22, 1965 she was a daughter of Fakiya Hayretdinova Mustaphina and the late Ahylam Mustaphin. Maya was a loving daughter, mother, sister, and aunt.

Survivors include her children, Katherine Spicer, Michael Spicer, and Daniel Spicer, all of Columbia; her mother, Fakiya H. Mustaphina; sister, Zulia Aydetdinova; nephews, Marat and Timur Aydetdinov, all of Moscow, Russia.

Maya's service will be held at 10 o'clock, Tuesday, April 15th at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to SQ Animal Rescue, PO Box 291450, Columbia, SC 29229.
