Melvin Lynn Branham, 66, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Melvin was born in Columbia on January 3, 1955 and was raised and lived all of his life in Blythewood, S.C.

He enjoyed his work as a heavy equipment mechanic, a hard days work in his yard and spending time with family and friends. In his leisure time, Melvin enjoyed following Nascar, watching old western movies and wrestling matches on television.

Melvin is predeceased by a daughter, Nicole Lynn Stiltner; and his parents, Melvin and Evelyn Branham. He is survived by Renee Cogburn; his children, Penny Lynette Flake (Spencer), Melvin Lynn Branhan, Jr., Jodi Renee Cogburn and Katie Southers Cogburn; grandchildren, James and Bryson Stiltner, Cameron Hope Townsend, Kyndall Brooke Walker, and Sydney and Easton Branham; and great grandson, Zahir Sage Townsend.

A visitation will take place on Sunday evening, August 1st, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Shives Funeral Home, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext, Columbia, S.C. 29223.
