Melvin Levi Brazell, 71, of Eastover, died Saturday, February 29, 2020 at his home. Born in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late David Ray and Nellie Wallace Brazell. Mr. Brazell retired after 28 years from Westinghouse as maintenance manager. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved spending time with family. Mr. Brazell enjoyed being outdoors, camping and fishing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Donna Davis Brazell; children, Anne Marie Seastrunk (Edwin), Donald Levi Brazell (Deborah), Dorothy Elaine Arnold (Samuel); grandchildren, Taylor Knoke (Jordan), Emily Tallant (Chaz), Ryan Brazell (Joy), Bailey Lewter, Cameron Lewter, Sarah Anne Arnold, and Noah Arnold; great granddaughter, Delaney Knoke. He is also survived by his brothers, Kenneth Brazell (Linda), Ronald Brazell (Vicki), Cecil Brazell (Jackie); sisters, Nancy Brazell and Joyce Brazell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Carl Brazell and Mickey Brazell.

The service for Mr. Brazell will be held at 10 o'clock, Tuesday, March 3rd at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext. Columbia. The Rev. Phillip Davis will officiate.
