Mr. Michael George DeSembly, Jr., 44, of Hopkins, SC, died Tuesday, June 29, 2024. He was born to Mrs. Linda Joy Thompson and the late Mr. Michael G. DeSembly, Sr. on November 21, 1979, in Cincinnati, OH.

Michael served his country honorably in the United States Army. Later he worked and retired from the Unites States Postal Service. He loved football and basketball and was an avid fan of the Carolina Panthers and Cincinnati Bengals.

Michael is survived by his mother, Linda Joy DeSembly; brother, Jason Thompson (Gina); sister, Garnett DeSembly (Kwaishan), nieces and nephews, Niaja Sanders, Nyem Sanders, Jasmine Thompson, Thomas Thompson, and Ava Davis. Michael was beloved by numerous cousins in North Carolina and in Ohio.

The celebration of life will be held Sunday, July 14, from 3pm-5pm at the American Legion Post 146, 412 N. Central Avenue, Landis, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675 in his honor.
