Michael Louis Jenkins, 40, of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023, in Beaufort, SC. Michael was born on April 11, 1983, in Columbia, to the late Garnet Charles Jenkins Jr. and Eleanor Palmer Jenkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harriet and Joe Johnson, Christine and Frank Palmer, and Mary and Garnet Charles Jenkins, Sr.

Michael was a loving father to his daughter, Lily Jenkins, and cherished their time together. He had a tender heart and was known for his ability to bring laughter to any gathering of family and friends. Michael had a passion for cooking and delighted in preparing delicious meals for his loved ones. He was also an avid fisherman, hunter, and bowler.

Michael attended Spring Valley High School in Columbia and Lonnie B. Nelson Primary School. He pursued a career as a cook, where his culinary skills brought joy to many. Michael's dedication to his craft was evident in every dish he prepared.

Michael found solace in his faith and was a member of Northeast Wesleyan Church (formerly Killian Wesleyan Church) in Columbia. He always turned to God for strength and guidance throughout his life.

Michael leaves behind his daughter, Lily Jenkins; sisters, Christie Barnes (Mark), Marie Kinard (Steve); brother, Chris Jenkins (Mia), as well as nieces and nephews, April (Ben), Will (Tiana), Jacob, Ethan, Joseph, and Sofia. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Tammy Salinas. Michael's warm personality and loving nature touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life for Michael will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday, August 26th, at Northeast Wesleyan Church, 192 Sloan Rd. Columbia, SC.
