Obituary
Michael L. Kelly, 67, of Elgin, died Thursday, June 4, 2020. Born January 21, 1953 in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late Alvin C. "AC" Kelly and Jacqueline Ward Kelly.
Mike loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing, camping, and gardening. He was a talented carpenter, specializing in trim work. A few of his last words were: "Tell everybody I love them", "I'm sorry", and "Never stop searching for God."
Survivors include his son, Christopher Michael Kelly (Kim); grandchildren, Logan, & Lindsey; siblings, Wendall A. Kelly, Lynn Kelly-Crouch (Martin), and William Kelly; along with many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2 o'clock, Tuesday, June 9th, at Greenhaven Preserve, 1701 Vanboklen Rd., Eastover, SC 29044. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Humane Society, 405 Greenlawn Dr., Columbia, SC 29209.
