Mrs. Michael Bennett Moore, 69, of Columbia, died Friday, March 22, 2013. Born in Columbia, SC on April 23, 1943, Michael was a daughter of the late Eugene Bennett and Mary Snyder Bennett. She graduated from Boca Ciega High School in St. Petersburg, FL and was a long time employee of First Citizens Bank. Michael was a member of Jackson Creek Baptist Church for over 46 years and was loved dearly by her grandsons.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband, Harvey G. Moore, Jr; daughter, Mary Kaye Moore, of Atlanta, GA; sons, Harvey Gorden Moore III (Rose), of New York City, NY, Thomas Bennett Moore (Giang-Tien), of Princeton, NJ; grandsons, Harrison Gorden Moore, Vincent Moore; and a sister, Echo Morris, of Camden, SC. In addition to her parents, Michael was preceded in death by her sister, Jeannie DeLoache.

The funeral service for Mrs. Moore will be held 11 o'clock, Tuesday, March 26th, at Jackson Creek Baptist Church, 7778 Two Notch Road, Columbia, with The Dr. Rev. Walter Mack Burriss officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Branham, Tim Branham, Andy Jones, Murle Jones, Buzz Jones, Robb Jones, and Thomas Morris. The family will receive friends Monday night from 5 until 7 o'clock, at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia.
