Obituary

Michael David Snow, 24, of Blythewood, SC, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

Born on March 20, 2000, in Norwich, CT, he was the beloved son of David Wayne Snow and Lisa Anne Crozzoli Snow. In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his sisters, Amanda Regina Snow of Bedford, MA, and Sabrina Anne Snow Jensen (Michael) of Jackson, MI.

Michael was homeschooled by his mother until the age of 19, with a curriculum that included music, song, storytelling, physical therapy exercises, and both local and long-distance travel—activities he deeply enjoyed. A member of the Catholic faith, Michael regularly attended Mass and received all of the Church's Sacraments.

In 2007, Michael and his family moved to Blythewood, SC, to a home better suited to his physical needs, where his abilities flourished. Michael spent many joyful summers at the neighborhood swimming pool with his father, delighting in the South Carolina sunshine. In November 2012, Michael's father retired to join in caring for him full-time, focusing on both his education and daily care. Throughout his life, Michael benefited from the love and attention of his two sisters, whose devoted care enriched his journey.

Despite the challenges from a birth injury, Michael's patient endurance, joyful spirit, and unwavering faith in God's goodness and mercy were an inspiration to all who knew him. His life serves as a testament to resilience, love, and the strength of the human spirit.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Michael Snow will be held at 12 o'clock noon on Friday, December 6, 2024, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 100 Polo Road, Columbia, SC, with Father C. Alexander McDonald officiating. A reception will follow in the church parish hall. Final Commendation and prayers will take place at a later date at New Saint Andrews Cemetery in Colchester, CT, followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Easterseals, 3020 Farrow Rd, Columbia, SC 29203 or the National Shrine of Divine Mercy, 2 Prospect Hill Rd, Stockbridge, MA 01262.
