Michael "Mikie" Donald Stockton, Jr, 41, of Columbia, died Friday, May 22, 2015 after a brief illness. Mr. Stockton was born June 22, 1973 in Tallahassee, FL. Mikie was the son of Fran R. Bartlett and his stepfather, Robert O. Bartlett. He had many special needs, and was lovingly cared for by the wonderful staff at Midlands Center where he resided in the Sycamore Unit.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by uncles, Jim (Pat) Rabon, Hubert (Sandra) Rabon; loving cousins and their families. Mikie was preceded in death by his grandparents

The family would like to thank the staff at Midlands Center and Dr. Fred Piehl of Midlands Orthopedics, who made Mikie's life healthier and more comfortable through the years.

The service for Michael will be held at 2 o'clock, Thursday, May 28th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road, Columbia. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 o'clock. Memorials may be made to Midlands Center Family Council, 8301 Farrow Road, Columbia, SC 29203. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel is assisting the family.
