Michael LeGrand Windham, 67, of Ridgeway, died Monday, June 18, 2018. Born August 11, 1950 in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late James Harvey Windham, Sr. and Mildred Elizabeth Legrand Windham. With a rich intelligence and dry sense of humor, Mike was drawn to lyricism in poetry and songs as well as the nuanced grace found in a chess strategy or collection of computer code.

He is survived by his children, Michelle Windham LeMoine of Blythewood, Kate Nation of Durham, NC, Taylor Scott Windham of Columbia; grandchildren, Clyde Ulysses LeMoine and Chloe Ellis Windham; mother of his children, Teresa Tison Brown; siblings, James Harvey Windham, Jr. (Penny), Martha Windham Molyneux, and Mark McDowell Windham (Barbara); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Mike will be held 11 o'clock, Saturday, June 23rd, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10 o'clock.
