Michael P. Wright went to be with the Lord on October 11, 2018. He was born August 14, 1995 in College Station, Texas, grew up most of his life in Ithaca, New York and since 2012 lived in Columbia, South Carolina. Michael attended Hargrave Military Academy and graduated from Ben Lippen School. He attended the University of Alabama majoring in Management Information Systems and International Studies. Passionate in all his interests which included politics, current events, and football, he was extremely loyal to those close to him. Michael made friends easily, read vociferously, learned independently, and loved deeply.

He is survived by his mother, Mary; his father, Patrick; and his brother, Matthew. His was a life full of potential, cut short at too young an age. He will be missed.

The memorial service will be held at 6:00 o'clock Thursday evening, October 18th at Shandon Baptist Church, 5250 Forest Drive, Columbia, SC. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 5 o'clock. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
