Mildred Bryan Boothe, 97, of Elgin, died Friday, August 2, 2019. Born March 25, 1922 in Walterboro, SC she was the daughter of the late Richard Waldo and Rosa Benton Bryan. Mildred was a cook for many years in food service everywhere from Florida, South Carolina and Virginia. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her son, Joseph B. Brock; daughter, Docia Earlene Brock; seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lee J. Boothe; as well as her siblings.

A graveside service for Mrs. Boothe will be held 2 o'clock, Friday, August 9th at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Road, Columbia, with The Rev. Terry Miller, officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 1:30, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
