Mildred "Mitsy" Ruth Haney, 75, of Winnsboro, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024. Born in Winnsboro, South Carolina on March 11, 1948, she was a daughter of the late William Terry Haney, Sr., and Mildred Cleo Cooper Haney.

Ms. Haney was a devout Christian and could be found reading her bible, fishing, or cooking in the kitchen. She is well known for her famous cheesecake and lasagna and fondly remembered for her tiny but mighty personality. Ms. Haney was a true pistol; stubborn and strong-willed yet so loving. She took great pride in being a grandmother and great-grandmother. Ms. Haney was loved by many and brought joy to all of those around her.

Survivors include her children, Rodney Truesdale (Charlene), Scott Truesdale (Melissa), Chris Truesdale (Trish) and Heather Truesdale; grandchildren, Shana Hudson, Tommy Hudson (Valerie), Brittany Capps (Wesley), Kayla Hudson, Jessica Ross (Chris), Breanna Hornsby (Scott), Michael Truesdale, Leslie Truesdale James (Steve), Zachary Truesdale, William Graham, Austin Truesdale; 24 great-grandchildren; siblings, Troy Samuel Haney (Tina); Mark Steven Haney (Becky); Mary Sue Black (Mike); loyal lifetime friend and cousin, Iris Kelly, whom the family would like to give a special thank you for the years of love and support. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, William Terry Haney, Jr., and great-granddaughter, Ava Lynn Capps.

The Memorial Service for Ms. Haney will be held privately. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
