Mildred Livingston Whetstone, 87, of Elgin, died on Saturday, January 16, 2020. Born in Lancaster, SC, on September 3, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Dewey and Mary Knight Livingston. Mildred worked with Bellsouth in their telephone security department for many years.

Survivors include her sisters, Doris Livingston Baker and Brenda Livingston Jordan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Whetstone; as well as several brothers and sisters.

The graveside service for Mrs. Whetstone will be held at 3 o'clock, Wednesday, January 20th, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 7100 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
