Minnie Mae Cooper "Mem" Harris, 87, of Columbia, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Born in Columbia on June 30, 1928 she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Pearl Dawkins Cooper. She was a member of Eau Claire Baptist Church.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Sheree (Daniel) Rabon; grandson, Gregory Harris; great-granddaughters, Caitlin and Peyton Rabon; a brother, Louie Lee (Dale) Cooper; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Robin Smith, Anne Stephens, Irene Pardo, Ronald and Sara Renew and Dena Richardson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Harris, Sr.; her son, John D. Harris, Jr; her daughter, Sandra Easterling; two sisters and a brother.

A funeral service will be held 3 o'clock, Friday, September 18th at Eau Claire Baptist Church with The Rev. James A. Goudelock and The Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Lybrand Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock. Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is assisting the family.
