Minnie Carol Reynolds Murphy, 80, of West Columbia, died on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Born in Kershaw County, SC, on December 14, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Josephine Mattox Reynolds. Mrs. Murphy worked in the food service industry and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Fort Jackson Ward.

Survivors include her brother, Freddie Reynolds; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Augustine Murphy; daughter, Tina Robinson; and siblings, Roy Reynolds, Nick Reynolds, Sinclair Reynolds, David Reynolds, Mary Branham and Roberta Rabon.

The graveside service for Mrs. Murphy will be held at 12 o'clock, Thursday, June 16th, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock, Wednesday evening at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
