Minnie Doris Bradley Peeples

Minnie Doris Bradley Peeples, 89, of Irmo, died on Friday, July 31, 2026. Born on April 27, 1937, in Rutherfordton, NC, she was a daughter of Jesse Crawford Bradley and Maude Hollifield Bradley. Mrs. Peeples most significant achievement in life was being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Her fondest memories were her children’s first day of school, their marriages, and seeing them become parents themselves. Mrs. Peeples cherished every moment with her family, especially the generations of grandchildren. She was a member of Edmund First Baptist Church where she forged many lasting relationships and was active participant in the Outreach Sunday school class. Mrs. Peeples enjoyed a successful career with Canteen Corporation and volunteered at the Pelion Senior Center.

Survivors include her children, E. Lois Deluney (Don) of Pelion, SC and J. Keith Shakib (Bonnie) of Belton, MO; as well as her daughter-in-law, Kelly Peeples of Swansea, SC. She also leaves behind a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ashley Peeples; son, Ted Peeples; infant son, Thomas Peeples; brothers, John Ray Bradley and George Bradley; and her sisters, Nellie Godfrey and Ruby Johnson.

The graveside service for Mrs. Peeples will be held at 2 o’clock, Monday, August 3rd, at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Rd, Columbia, SC 29204 with Rev. R. Joseph Copeland will be officiating.

Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
