Minnie T. Scott, 94, passed away at NHC, Parklane on January 26, 2021. She was born in Columbia, SC to the late Clyde L. Tarrer and Marie B. Tarrer. She graduated from the Old Columbia High School and then went to work for the SC Tax Commission as a computer specialist until her retirement.

She was a long time resident of The Heritage, serving on the Board of Directors for many years. Her passions were God, her family, her church and her friends. She loved working with young people in various areas of the church to teach them the love of Christ through worship and fellowship. She was also involved with the mission's ministry and enjoyed helping build churches around the world until 2014. She was a longtime member of St. Andrews Baptist Church. At the time of her death she was a member of First Baptist Church.


She was predeceased by her husband, Harold P. Scott, Jr., her parents, a sister, Louise T. Connelly and survived by her nieces and God Children.

The family would like to thank the staff at NHC, Parklane and a very special family friend and caregiver, Betty Rabon for their excellent care.

As per her wishes, there will be no service or visitation. Memorials may be made to her favorite charity, First Baptist Church TV ministry at 1306 Hampton St., Columbia, SC 29201.
