MSG Emory Calvin Buxton, US Army (Ret.), 70, of Columbia, died Sunday, February 6, 2022. Born January 30, 1952, in Bartow, Florida, he was a son of the late Donald Harris and Rachel Leona Roberts Buxton.

MSG Buxton honorably served his country for 20 years in the US Army. During his enlistment, he received many commendations and awards for meritorious service. Following his military career, MSG Buxton was employed in sales. He enjoyed gardening, long walks in nature, and shopping online for his favorite tools or gadgets.

MSG Buxton is survived by his devoted wife, Cindy Lou Neal Buxton, as well as his two loving children, Ian K. Buxton and Megan R. Buxton.

The memorial service for MSG Buxton will be held at 10 o'clock, Monday, February 14th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC.
