Obituary

MSG Marvin Lewis McCullough, US Army (Ret.), 75, of Camden, died Saturday, October 15, 2016. Born in Greenville, SC on September 17, 1941, he was a son of the late Marvin Franklin and Virginia Landreth McCullough. Marvin proudly served in the US Army until his retirement, and afterward, retired from civil service at Moncrief Army Community Hospital. He was a loving father and grandfather, and would do anything for his family. Marvin was a Gamecock fan, and he enjoyed spending time reading his Bible. He had a deep, personal faith, and was an active member of Anchor Baptist Church.

Marvin is survived by his daughters, Mary Anne Baldwin of West Columbia, Sue Ellen Yates (Steve) of Savannah, GA, and Tammy Huddleston (Mike) of West Columbia; son, Terry Puckett (Janet) of Huntsville, AL; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Inez McCullough; and son, Doug McCullough.

The funeral for Mr. McCullough will be held at 2 o'clock, Wednesday, October 19th, at Anchor Baptist Church, with Pastor Rick Kirchinger and Brother Steven Crout officiating. Burial will follow in Alpine Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church, prior to the service, beginning at 12 o'clock.

Memorials may be made to Anchor Baptist Church, 418 North Brickyard Road, Columbia, SC 29223. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
