Myrtis Dinkins Lee, 83, of Columbia, died Thursday, October 2, 2014. Born on June 11, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Janie Hornsby Dinkins.

Survivors include daughters, Kathy (the late Carl) Brazell and Barbara (Scott) Desrochers; a son, Michael "Mike" Lee; grandchildren, Wendy (Scottie) Todd, Carl (Shannon) Brazell, Stacey (Dave) Williams, Brad (Natasha) Desrochers, Justin Desrochers, Kevin Desrochers, Michael Craig Lee, and Ashleigh (Curt) Keys; great-grandchildren, Carle Todd, Brandon Todd, Hunter Brazell, Jesse Brazell, Emma Williams, Mason Williams, Brie Williams, Trey Keys, Michael Craig Lee II, Josh Lee, Ryan Lee, and Savannah Caroline Desrochers; as well as a brother, Randolph Dinkins. In addition to her parents, Myrtis was predeceased by her husband, Elvin Lee; brothers, Oscar "Bossy" Dinkins, Tom Dinkins, Dick Dinkins, Tal Dinkins; and sister, Mildred Lee.

The funeral service for Mrs. Lee will be held 2 o'clock Sunday, October 5, 2014, at Spears Creek Baptist Church, with The Reverend Greg N. Sweet, Sr. and The Reverend Stanley Fuller officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6 to 8 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel.
