Mrs. Nancy O'Conor Ashby McNeill, 73, of Columbia, died Saturday, March 18, 2017. Born on April 12, 1943 to the late James Ashby, Jr and Frances Goolrick Ashby, Mrs. McNeill was raised in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and graduated from St. Catherine's School in Richmond. She was a member and altar stalwart of St. Michael and All Angels' Episcopal Church.

Mrs. McNeill is survived by her daughters, Virginia M. Poindexter (Gordon), Kimberly M. Thompson (Elliott) and Elizabeth M. Reed (Clark); grandchildren, Ashby Atkinson and Lucy Watson Poindexter, Elliott Duborg III and Claiborne Hayes Thompson, and Logan Elizabeth and Claire Lewis Reed. Also surviving is a brother, O'Conor Goolrick Ashby (Liz); a sister, Virginia Turner Ashby; a sister-in- law, Louise Ashby Morton, as well as, numerous of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Ashby III; and a sister-in-law, Judith Christian Ashby.

The service for Mrs. McNeill will be held at 3 o'clock, Tuesday, March 21, at St. Michael and All Angels' Episcopal Church, 6408 Bridgewood Road, Columbia, with a reception to follow in Sturtevant Hall. The Rev. Charles Jeremy Smith will officiate.
