Olga Coutsos Grimsley, 92, of Columbia, widow of W.D. (Son) Grimsley, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013. She was born on November 29, 1920 in Columbia, SC, the daughter of George and Frances Keene Coutsos. Mrs. Grimsley retired from Richland School District II, where she spent many years at Blythewood School. She was an avid reader, a sports enthusiast, and a life-long devoted Gamecock fan.
Surviving are her daughters, Beth Parler (Dan) of St. Stephen, SC and Janice DeLozier of Blythewood, SC; granddaughter, Jilda Sharpe; grandsons, Mitchell Morris and Tripp Gale; great granddaughters include Danielle Strong, McKenna Morris, and Kyra Morris; her great grandson, Ellis Gale; special great-great grandchildren, Alaysia, James, Skylar, and Destiny; sisters, Helen Wilson and Anita Kirby; and also brother, Jimmy Coutsos. In addition to her parents and husband, Olga was preceded in death by her sisters, Froshene Ross and Penelope Tucker; and brothers, George, Johnny, Billy and Gus Coutsos.
A graveside service for Mrs. Grimsley will be held 3 o'clock, Friday, June 14th, at Killian Baptist Church Cemetery, with The Rev. Richard A. Humphries officiating.
