Olga Tanner Weekley, 84, of Aiken, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Born in Winnsboro, South Carolina on January 12, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Wilson Tanner and Florrie Freeman Tanner. Mrs. Weekley was the loving wife to Marion Augustus Weekley, she and Mr. Weekley shared a strong marriage of devotion and support to each other from 1961 until his death in 1988.
Mrs. Weekley was a member of Denny Terrace Baptist Church. She graduated from Mt. Zion Institute High School and retired from her position as Claims Adjuster for Blue Cross Blue Shield. Following her retirement, Mrs. Weekley loved traveling and discovering new vacation spots with her family. She was an avid reader, who enjoyed knitting and outings with dear friends over lunch. Mrs. Weekley will be fondly remembered for her kind, loving personality.
Survivors include her sons, Anthony K. Weekley, and John F. Weekley (Betty); grandchildren, April Watson (James), Matt Snuggs (Chelsea), Carle Howard (Chandler), Amber Weekley, TJ Weekley, McKenzie Howard (Tanner), Savannah Weekley, Summer Weekley, and Samantha Weekley; great-grandchildren, Somer, Jay, and Savannah Locklear, Emory, Troy, and Layla Snuggs; and great-great grandchildren, Jalen and Jeremiah Smith, and Chanlee Ball; and brother, John C. Tanner. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Mark K. Weekley; brothers, Odell Tanner, Jerry Tanner, and Patrick Tanner.
The Graveside Service for Mrs. Weekley will be held at 11 o'clock on Saturday, July 27th, at Memorial Gardens of Columbia, 9301 Wilson Blvd, Columbia, SC. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
