Neil Cannon passed away at his home June 24, 2014. His services will be held at 1 o'clock on Friday, June 27, at Washington Street United Methodist Church, 1401 Washington Street, Columbia, with The Rev. Diana C. Westerkam and The Rev. Scott Smoak officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church parlor. A private burial will be held in Conway. Memorials may be made to Palmetto Place Children's Shelter, P. O. Box 3395, Columbia, SC 29230.

Neil was born in Conway, SC, son of O'Neil Hampton Cannon and the late Erma Floyd Cannon. He grew up in Conway and was a graduate of Conway High School. He went on to graduate the Citadel in 1987. Neil was employed with Garvin Appraisals as a Real Estate Appraiser.

In 1999, he married Kelley Suzanne Shull. In 2004, they were blessed with their daughter, Alice Caughman Cannon. He was known for his love of his family, cooking for his friends, NASCAR, every moment spent on the water or out of doors and the game of golf. He was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church.

Neil is survived by his wife of 15 years, Kelley, and his daughter, Ally. He also leaves behind his father; his sister, Nancy Cannon; as well as several nieces and nephews
