Orrin Phillip Fredette, Jr., 80, of Columbia, died on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Born September 8, 1941, in Dover, NH, he was a son to the late Orrin P. Fredette, Sr. and Julia Blake Fredette.

Phil was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing three times a week once he retired. He was also a Gamecock fan. In his earlier years, Phil played football and was part of the Shrine Bowl in 1959. Mr. Fredette was a lifelong Mason, being a Master Mason of the Acacia #94 Lodge.

Survivors include his loving wife, Pam Fredette; children, Pam Burch (Phillip), Craig Fredette (Stephanie), Todd Wilkins (Peggi), John Wilkins (Julie); grandchildren, Megan Davidson, Matthew Burch (Kelli), Nicholas Burch, Taylor Burkett, Brooke Fredette, Cameron, Madeline, Jack, Bridget, Gabe, Brady Wilkins, Otvia, Ava, and Ella Lippert; great grandchildren, Aiden and Addley Davidson, and Taylor and Madison Burch; along with nieces Maryanne DeMarco, Vicki Montagano; and nephew, Philip Montagano. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fredette was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia "Pat" Caron.

A memorial service will be held at 1 o'clock, Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel. The family will greet friends following the service. All are welcome to attend, however, masks and social distancing practices are encouraged.
