Patricia Louise Burt Ariail, 80, of Columbia, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014. A daughter of the late Obie C. Burt, Sr. and Leah Crews Burt, she was born March 22, 1933, in Winston Salem, North Carolina, where the family lived until moving to Greensboro, NC. Mrs. Ariail graduated from Greensboro High School, and was crowned Miss Guilford County in 1950. She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert B. Ariail; as well as her sister-in-law, Elizabeth "Molly" Ariail DeLoache and, husband, Bill, all of Columbia, and sister-in-law, Shirley Quesinberry Burt of Winston Salem, NC. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ariail was preceded in death by her brothers, Obie C. Burt, Jr., Donald H. and Phillip E.Burt.

A private committal service will be held at the Memorial Gardens of Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
