Ms. Patricia Kennedy Hussey, 77, of Elgin, died Friday, September 16, 2022. Born in Kingstree, South Carolina. She lived most of her life in Columbia, South Carolina, and worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield as an underwriter. Patricia was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed working in her yard, growing flowers, and cheering for her Gamecocks. Patricia loved her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great nephews and niece, and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Hussey Dixon; grandchildren, Jennifer Ann Brantley, Robert Lynn Dixon; three great-grandchildren; nephews, Mike Kennedy, Jay Kennedy; niece, Ragan Kennedy; three great-nephews, and one great-niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Kennedy, Emma (Virginia) Nesmith Williams and her brother James (Ned) Edward Kennedy.

A service will be held at 6 o'clock, Tuesday, September 20th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The burial will be at two o'clock, Wednesday at Mount Hope Cemetery, 100 Cherokee Road, Florence, SC.
