Patricia Anne Kneece, 85, was born in Columbia, S.C. on August 1, 1939 to the late Jack Monroe Kneece, Sr. and Marjorie Jenkinson Kneece. She died at PruittHealth Ridgeway on August 19, 2024.
She was a 1957 graduate of Eau Claire High School where she was voted wittiest by her class. Patricia attended Columbia College and USC and then moved to California and worked for the telephone company. Back home in S.C., she worked for the Tax Commission before starting her lifelong career with Job Service and the S.C. Employment Security Commission. Patricia was fierce, independent, very pretty, naturally sophisticated, intelligent, and had a razor-sharp sense of humor. She loved her family and was especially devoted to her mother and her hero and love, pilot Mike Miller of Eau Claire. She enjoyed a cup of black coffee, music, flowers, decorating, crocheting, shopping, make-up, clothes, shoes, jewelry, having her hair done, and being stylish.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents, brothers Jack Monroe Kneece, Jr. and Edgar Salter Kneece, and sister-in-law Judy Airs Kneece. She is survived by her nephew Bryan Edgar Kneece (Amy) and niece Marjorie Parks Kneece who love her and are grateful for all she did for them.
The memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 25 at 10:30 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext. Columbia, SC.
