Patricia Watkins Moore, 87, of Ridgeway, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024. Born in Columbia, South Carolina on June 27, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Gradon Everett Watkins and Maggie Gunter Watkins. She was a longtime member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Blythewood, South Carolina.
Mrs. Moore went to Lower Richland High School and retired after 35 years as Plant Assigner for Bell South. Following her retirement, Mrs. Moore continued contract work as an engineer for Telecommunications primarily in New Mexico and Colorado. She was a talented artist and wonderful cook; Mrs. Moore is fondly remembered for her famous hash. She was a sweet, loving soul who never met a stranger. She dedicated her life to family and took great pride in being a mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Charles Steven Moore (Debbie), Roger Kenneth Moore (Nancy), and Mary Moore Christensen; grandchildren, Brandon Andrew Christensen (Melissa), Travis Steven Moore (Tiffany), and Derek Kenneth Moore (Holly); great grandchildren, Bella Moore, Paislee Moore, Parker Moore, and Diana Grace Christensen. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Cleveland Govan Moore; son, Robert Patrick Moore; son-in-law, Mark Andrew Christensen; siblings, Gradon Everett Watkins, Jr. (Hilda) and Edith Evelyn Blizzard.
The Memorial Service for Mrs. Moore will be held at 11 o'clock on Sunday, June 9th, at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 1729 Blythewood Road, Blythewood, SC. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
