Patricia Ann Morgan Phillips, 79, of Elgin, died Tuesday, December 24, 2019. Born in Rutherfordton, NC, on February 20, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Memory James Morgan and Ola Mae Frazier Morgan. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a seamstress for various retail businesses. Mrs. Phillips was a faithful Christian and a longtime member of Pine View Baptist Church in Blythewood, SC. She has resided with her granddaughter, Cheryl Turner (Derek) and great granddaughter, Emma Gunter.

Survivors also include her daughters, Carla Leyland (Larry L.) and Rhonda Phillips all of Elgin; sister, Billie Martin; daughter-in-law, Lisa Phillips; grandchildren, Shawna, Chelsea, Daryl, Kevin, Ann, and Crystal; and 18 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl J. Phillips; sons, Alan and Kevin Phillips; as well as her granddaughter, Sarah Phillips.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Friday, December 27th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The funeral service for Mrs. Phillips will be held 11 o'clock, Saturday, December 28th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, with the Rev. Jamie Ballentine officiating. Burial will follow the service in Pine View Baptist Church Cemetery, 111 Pine View Church Rd, Blythewood, SC 29016.
