Patricia "Patti" Ann Turner, 68, of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on January 8, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Robert Edward Turner and Mary Ann Foster Turner.
Patti never failed to make a friend wherever she went. She brought joy and humor to all of those around her and will be missed by many. Her greatest passion was her family for whom she gave her all. Patti was a life-long companion to her mother and was an integral part in the raising and nurturing of her two nieces. She also fought to save her father's life with the donation of her kidney at the young age of 24.
Patti's favorite activity was exercise and especially walking. She always had a full calendar participating in all the activities and social events held at the Terra Bella Windsor Lake Retirement Community. She enjoyed all forms of art and had a special passion for music attending many concerts in her hometown. She enjoyed reading and keeping up with current events. Patti also adored animals, especially her beloved cat, Raymond.
Survivors include her sisters, Betsy Godshall (William) and Mary Beth Jeffords (Wes); nieces, Amanda Colgate (Ryan Beadle) and Ansley Jeffords; great niece and nephew, Elle Beadle and Brooks Beadle. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her dear Uncle Jack, John Alberry Foster, Jr.
The Funeral Service for Ms. Turner will be held at 2 o'clock on Tuesday, July 9th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock. A private burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, SC.
