Patricia Hutchison Wilson, 87, passed away on June 23, 2018. Pat brought love, joy and laughter to all who knew her. Her talents were many. She followed in her mother's footsteps as an accomplished pianist and trained vocalist. As a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Pat offered her musical talent by playing the piano for Sunday School classes, programs, and singing in the choir – often performing solos. For many years, Pat played piano for the children at Mays Park Pre-school, alongside her good friend, Director, Mozelle Shipp. Dear to her heart was playing the calliope and delighting the crowds at the SC State Fair. Pat was known to so many for her baking skills. She won many First Place and Sweepstakes ribbons for her baked goods at the SC State Fair. Each pound cake, pecan pie, cookie, cheese straw, and biscuit were always prepared with love for her family and friends.

Patricia was born in Columbia, SC, on October 26, 1930, to the late Thomas Calhoun and Lila Mae Edmunds Hutchison. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Robert Corley Wilson, Sr; four children: Pamela Wilson Fusco (Frank), Robert C. Wilson, Jr. (Nena), Timothy Earle Wilson (Amanda), and Brett Patrick Wilson (Milly); five grandchildren: Nicholas Corley Wilson, Kayley Patricia Wilson, Victoria Margaret Wilson, Robert Corley Wilson, III (Catherine), and Brenae Nicole Wilson; as well as her beloved four-legged friend, Elsie.

The funeral service for Mrs. Wilson will be held 2 o'clock, Thursday, June 28th, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dr. Tony Metze officiating. Burial will follow the service in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock, in the Good Shepherd Room, at the church. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
