Obituary
Patrick "Ryan" Smith, 48, of Blythewood, died Wednesday, May 6, 2020 after a brief illness. Born December 15, 1971 in Greenville, he was a son of Phillip Jones Smith and Patricia Stott Ross Casteel.
A father, brother, son and uncle, Ryan was taken from us too soon. He was a devout Christian and led by his faith. Ryan was adventurous, loved music, pulling pranks and was known to be a kid at heart. He was an adoring father and family man who will forever be remembered by his charm.
In addition to his parents, Ryan is survived by his children, Jordan Smith, Patrick and Joshua Smith and Piper Murdock; a sister, Mary Stuart Turner; his step-mother, Elizabeth Smith; step-brother, Benjamin Smith; step-sister, Hannah Smith; fiancé, Amy Stiles; her daughters, Jessica and Natalie Stiles. He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Kirkness Smith.
In light of the Novel COVID 19 Virus, services for Ryan will be private. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to YMCA Greenville, 4399 YMCA Camp Road, Cleveland, SC 29635.
