Obituary

Pearle Harmon Frick, 92, of Columbia, passed on Wednesday, December 4, 2013. Born in Columbia, on November 11, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Fred C. and Mamie Carman Harmon. Pearle graduated from Columbia High School and went on to earn a degree from Draughon's Business School. She was a lifelong member of Eau Claire Baptist Church, where she was also a member of the XYZ Club and the Scripture Gleaners Sunday School Class. She had retired from J.B. White's.

Survivors include her son, Dr. Talmage R. Frick, Jr.; daughter, Betty Frick Nye and husband, Donald M. Nye; grandchildren, Tod Anthony Frick and wife, Eva, Chad Michael Frick, Donald Travis Nye and Tiffany Nye Wood; great grandchildren, Chandler Kennedy Frick, Emma Caroline Frick, Connor Michael Frick, Patrick Alexander Frick, Tomas Wakefield Frick, and Kelsey Addison Wood; nieces, Mary Ann West and Virginia R. Oliver; nephews, Thomas B. Ray and wife, Nancy, James U. Ray and wife, Suzanne, and Frederick L. Walker and wife, Daune. In addition to her parents, Pearle was preceded in death by her husband, Talmage R. Frick, Sr.; sisters, Dorothy H. Walker and Virginia H. Ray; brother, Frederick Thomas Harmon; and nephews, Jimmy Walker and Severn Malcolm Ray, Jr.

The funeral service for Mrs. Frick will be held 2 o'clock, Friday, Dec. 6th, at Eau Claire Baptist Church, with The Rev. James A. Goudelock officiating. Burial will be at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends following the committal service. The family suggests that memorials be made to the church at 4427 N Main St, Columbia, SC 29203.
