Pedro "Peter" Avilio Sepulveda III, 67, of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023. Born in Brooklyn, New York on April 30, 1956, he was the son of Hilda Pacheco Sepulveda and the late Pedro Avilio Sepulveda, Jr. Peter was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Columbia, South Carolina.

Peter graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and pursed a career in data processing for insurance companies. He had a passion for music and was a talented drummer. Peter enjoyed playing in his band and entertaining the locals. He was a jack of all trades that could fix anything and loved working with his hands. Peter is fondly remembered for his outgoing personality and being full of life. Peter was truly the life of the party and always kept up a great spirit. No matter the difficulties, he continued to have a positive attitude and to inspire others. Peter was a proud father and grandfather.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Pedro Avilio Sepulveda IV; granddaughters, Maria, and Arabella Sepulveda. He is preceded in death by his father.

The memorial mass for Mr. Sepulveda will be held at 10 o'clock on Monday, September 18th, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3600 Devine St, Columbia, SC 29205. A rosary with visitation to follow will be held the evening prior from 5 until 7 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC 29223.
