Ms. Peggy P. Kelly, 76, of Ocala, FL passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023.
Born April 7, 1947 in McColl, South Carolina to Alden F. Pugh, Jr. and Edna Martin Pugh, she was a graduate of Dreher High School in 1965 and attended Limestone College, and was a lifelong fan of the University of South Carolina Gamecocks. She moved to Ocala in 1972, where she was a longtime member of the medical secretary program and especially loved working with dear friend and mentor Eugene Peek, M.D. She was an avid fashionista and conversationalist, loved anything to do with sports, and was a member of Christ the King Anglican Church.
Survivors include her brother Alden Frederick Pugh, III, niece Brennen F. Hutto (Paul), nephews Brandon F. Pugh and A. Kyle Pugh, great niece Emily Hutto, great nephew Heath Hutto, stepson M. Mitchell Kelly, Jr., stepdaughter Shannon K. Gibb (Dean), sisters-in-law Kathy K. Seigler (Herb) and Beth K. Watts, and four step-grandchildren.
Ms. Kelly is predeceased by her parents, her husband of 48 years, Mack M. "Mickey" Kelly, stepdaughter Paula K. Robinson, and brother-in-law Dan Kelly.
A memorial service for Ms. Kelly will be held at 2:00 o'clock on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Shandon Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jenny McDevitt and Rev. John Cook officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Peggy M. Kelly to the American Cancer Society.
