Penny Ann Cruz, 49, of Elgin, died Sunday, September 3, 2017. Born on April 8, 1968 in Rochester, NY, she was a daughter to Roland Reed and the late Margaret Reed. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and dogs.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph R. Cruz; daughter, Amanda Ortiz (Roberto); sons, Robert Jeffries Markidis, Jr., Michael Roland Markidis, and Cory Rael Markidis; step-daughters, Christine M. Vieira (Steven) and Brittany Stellabuto; sisters, Jean Reed (Bernie), and Paula Schaffer (Robert); and a brother, Roland R. Reed. Also surviving are six grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held 10 o'clock, Saturday, September 9th with a celebration of Penny's life beginning at 11 o'clock, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
