Phillip Ray Hinson, 68, of Irmo, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024. Born in Winnsboro, South Carolina, on July 24, 1956, he was a son of the late Lewis Carl Hinson and Willie Mae Bunton Hinson.

Phil graduated from Eau Claire High School. He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed shooting pool with friends. Phil was a great, loyal man who is fondly remembered for being a dependable friend and wonderful brother.

Survivors include his daughter/adoptive sister, Rachael Hinson (Keith Bagley); brother, Bill Hinson; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Lewis Carl Hinson, Jr. and Janice Ross; and sister-in-law, Helen Hinson.

Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
