Phillip DeWayne "Wayne" Jordan, at the age of 58, went home to be with his Lord Jesus, The Great Shepard of his soul on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Born on July 23, 1959 in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the Rev. Frank Odell Jordan and Evelyn Nates Jordan.
Wayne was a graduate of Richmond Senior High in Rockingham, NC. He served in the US Navy and was a respected locksmith by profession. Wayne served in the ministry at Shandon Baptist and will be remembered for his genuine love for Jesus and family, along with his warm personality.
In addition to his parents, Wayne is survived by his wife, Konnie Smith Jordan; her children, Matthew, Jeremy, and Hannah; his siblings, Frank Jordan (Debbie), Kathy Miller (Dean), and Mike Jordan (Angie). Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be held at 10:30 o'clock, Saturday, December 16th at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 7100 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia with Rev. Freddie Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext, Columbia. Following the graveside service, the family will be at the home of his parents.
